Singer/ songwriter/ guitarist, Chuck Smith, aka Kemo Sabe, has released his second CD, Lightning Ridge, a collection of ambitious songs with sophisticated lyrics and vocals. He is currently performing with Willie's Nerve Clinic, a revolutionary rock band that includes a former member of the multi-platinum band, Incubus. He has performed and recorded all over the united States and abroad, appearing with such luminaries as: Diana Ross, Little Feat, Lee Ritenour, Paul Williams, Johnny Rivers, Dan Fogelberg, and others. His career achievements include a gold record presented to him for writing the title track of the Diana Ross album, "Baby, It's Me." He received a Clio award honoring music he composed for a series of radio commercials. Chuck has been a staff writer and recording artist for both Columbia and Motown. He composed a techno-funk score for Planet Fashion, in London. Chuck conducts songwriting workshops and teaches extensively in the fields of vocal arrangement and guitar. He has lectured at the San Diego Writer's Conference as well as the Learning Annex.
