Piece By Piece
Piece by Piece is the exciting debut album of Kim Cladas as a singer songwriter. Multi-platinum award winning song writer Bonnie Hayes collaborated with Cladas and music producer Cathyann Stonehill throughout the album's creation. Hayes wrote two of Bonnie Raitt's big hits 'Have a Heart' and 'Love Letter' on Raitt's multi-Grammy winning album 'Nick of Time'. In addition to being music director for some of the recording sessions of 'Piece by Piece', Hayes also performs on keyboards, plays percussion and sings backup vocals on several songs. Always modest with her contributions, Hayes likes to consider it 'just sprinkling a little fairy dust'. You can hear her magic throughout the album. Additionally Cladas and Stonehill had the great fortune of arranging, recording and performing their music with one of San Francisco's hottest guitarists, Bill Spooner. Spooner is a founding member of the legendary band The Tubes. Spooner's music arranging skills evolved while working with mega-producers Todd Rundgren, Al Kooper and David Foster during his renown career with The Tubes. The drummer on this star studded album is Kevin Hayes. For over 15 years Hayes has been internationally touring with blues icon group The Robert Cray Band. Also featured is Doug Morton on piano. Diverse in his musical skills, Morton is the principle trumpet player for the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with superstar band The Yes, as well as Glenn Campbell and Wynonna Judd, and has composed music for television and theatre. Other featured artists include Matt Eakle-flutist with the David Grisman Band, Andy Butler-bass player from the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra, and Elaine Kreston-freelance cellist.
