When the Love Starts Growin Old
Kim Dean sings about everybody's life and what they're going through or might eventually experience at some point in life. Kim says, 'It's global really--Everybody lives life EVERYWHERE, not just in my city or your city, not just in my state or the other 49 states, not just in my country, but in his country too. See, If you're living it, there has to be a song we can write about and then sing about it. That way everybody finds some music to relate to--Music to help them through when things aren't that great or some cool, catchy tune they can pump up to match their good mood!' 'When The Love Starts Growin' Old' was written by Kim Dean before her time. She was a teenager and was writing music out of 'so-called' REAL LOVE experiences, but now that Kim has gone through a marriage, kids and REAL LIFE experiences--her words and music written so many years ago now has new meaning for her. 'When The Love Starts Growin' Old' is about where you find yourself in the road of life, the decisions we inevitably face and ultimately choose to make. More About KIM DEAN... Kim has always loved the wave of the 80s and how VH-1 brought all the great music of that time to your TV screen. 'I used to work in a Nursing Home at night and we would complete our hourly tasks and then race back to the main recreational room with the big-screen TV to watch videos all night. Oh man, I would love to watch the video 'Dance Hall Days' (Wang Chung) and Peter Cetera 'Glory of Love' and 'Next Time I Fall In Love'. I used to think to myself, one day I'm gonna write a hit like that. Sometimes you just know a song is going to be a HIT. It just sticks in everybody's head, every time somebody hears it, the musicians, the producers whoever, friends-next thing you know everybody's singing it.' Kim Says: 'My daughter is 10 and my son is almost 8. They sing my music verbatim. I look at them and think, okay, great, if these guys are singing my music like this, then I have a chance with future generations. It's a good feeling.' 'I've also always appreciated and been a great lover of the deliberate singing and piano style of Elton John--music that's saying something. That's what I like to write--that's what I like to sing about'.
