Come to Me Nehemiah
Kim Schoffstall is a singer/songwriter who pulls her inspiration from a long time love of the sound of an acoustic guitar and lots of full harmonies and lyrics based in the folk tradition. She attributes these influences to having great music around the house while growing up while her older sisters were listening to James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt. With the basic philosophy that life is hard, but God is good, Kim continues to write from her own experiences and the world around her. Her songs stem from the desire to express hope and imprint into a song the visions in her heart. She enjoys writing songs for worship and congre-gational singing as well. She has recently graduated from Mary Washington College with a degree in Music Studies. Kim is teaching part-time at a private school and has private students as well for guitar and voice. She is currently serving on the board of Songwriter's Association of Washington based in and around the Northern Virginia area.
