Little at a Time
Kirk Dillen As a native Texan, Kirk's roots are rich in Southern charm and culture. His life has lead him all over north and east Texas, from Beaumont to Dallas and almost every point in between. He currently resides in Denton where he's raising his own family. While Kirk shares in the responsibilities that comes from raising his two sons, he also likes to play a round of golf now and then or casting out a fishing line. But chances are, you're more likely to find him at a Little League baseball game or on a school fieldtrip than on a golf course or a fishing hole! Kirk's career has also lead him from here to there and every point in between. While originally a rock 'n roller (he's a die-hard Boston and Eagle's fan), he was soon swayed to country music after attending a Steve Wariner concert. He and four other musicians, collectively called, Southern Wind, 'banded' together to become one of the southwest's premier nightclub and college performing groups during the late 80's and early 90's. While touring all over America, they not only performed with such renowned artist's as Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Alabama, and Steve Wariner, but they also received national recognition from the National Association of Campus Activities as Country Music Entertainer of the Year for three consecutive years. But, as fate would have it, the band split up and went different directions. After a brief 'leave-of-absence' from the music industry (he actually returned to college and earned a degree in Hospitality Management), Kirk once again took to the stage but as a solo act. He currently tours the southwest (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado). His strong vocal ability mixed with a generous assortment of music styles has nightclubs packed once again. He has also just released his debut CD, 'A Little at a Time,' which is receiving rave reviews from fans as well as music industry critics. My Sugar and A Reason to Change have both been released as singles and previews of these songs are available on this website.
