Jazz for Sale
Claudio "Klaus" Savoldi Bellavitis is an Italian jazz singer - pianist - composer. He produced his first album of original songs with a strong swing-jazz flavour. The "JAZZ FOR SALE" project has been recorded in Bergamo (Italy) and Las Vegas with musicians of both countries. Klaus, as a leading singer, 6 years ago created the JAZZ FOR SALE quintet made of known Italian jazz players. Here's the band: Klaus Bellavitis (voice/piano) Tullio Ricci (sax), Claudio Pozzi (piano), Giampiero Spina (guitar), Massimo Ciaccio (bass) Michele Salgarello (drums). Klaus has been the first Italian to be graduated in 1988 at the Berklee College of Music of Boston. Since than he worked as an arranger-composer for the film industries, advertisement and documentaries. He worked with Mediaset, Rai, Fratelli La Bionda, Maurizio Nichetti, la Titanus Film. He's been teaching at the Conservatorio Verdi of Milano, Beside his artistic career he works as artistic director of different jazz clubs in Milan as Santa Tecla Jazz Club, Ca' Bianca Jazz Club, Grand Visconti Palace, Light Restaurant, ecc. The special guest's name list is made of leading Italian and American jazz players as: Fabrizio Bernasconi (piano), Alberto Bollettieri (trombone), Walter J. Blanton (trumpet), Marco Bianchi (harmonica), Gigi Cifarelli (guitar), Paolo Favini (sax), Daniela Ferrari (voice), Samantha Iorio (voice), Davide Logiri (hammond), Gendrickson Mena (trumpet), Ermanno Principe (voice), Gary Queen (guitar), Paolo Tommelleri (clarinet), Mike Tracy (sax) e Beatrice Zanolini (voice). Just a couple of biographical notes about Walter Blanton: he's has been Frank Sinatra's trumpet player for more than 10 years. He also played with Elvis Presley, James Brown, the Temptations and still plays with Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra Jr. Same thing for Gary Queen, guitar player who played with Bill Crosy and Pavarotti plus dozens of Broadway musicals.
