We Are Blessed
Hello and welcome to my story. It all started in Liberia, the West Coast of Africa. Growing up in West Point Monrovia, life was not easy but my mom managed to provide for us in the ghetto of Monrovia. At the age of three I knew every major artist and I also DJ'd for my mom's mini shop before starting preschool. I was the dancer and singer DJ people enjoyed and not knowing that the Lord was preparing me for greater things ahead. I admired Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaac, Eddy Grant and Alpha Blondy, all of whom I strongly feel to be indebted today. I thought I was growing up to be a political Rastafari, propagating social and economic justice to all the weak and the blind, but God had another plan for me. After high school in Monrovia, I went to the Institute National Des Arts in Abidjan, La Cote D'Ivoire to study music. In Abidjan I met Alpha Blondy, Aicha Korneh, Francois Luga, Reene Pelage and others, who all encouraged me to pursue my dreams in music. After two years of studying, in 1989 I undertook a project to release my first CD in Liberia, but while going to Liberia my Master CD got stolen at the border. Upon arrival in Monrovia I again undertook a recording project to release another CD which was disrupted by the civil war. I continued to write but I became very careful, because of the losses and songs that went unpublished. In the mid-90's, before coming to the states, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior a step that has changed my message from that of a political call to a redemptive message of hope. To fully understand the gospel I enrolled and went to theological school to prepare myself not only as a Singer but as a Preacher of the word. Currently, I'm an Associate Minister of Beacon Youth Fellowship International, Founder and president of Christian Outreach of Missionary Evangelism, Foreign Missionary of the Gospel to the Americas, President and CEO of Trinity Link Records all base in Dallas Texas. I have preached and sang in many churches in the United States and this CD is my first, and I'm so please that God was able to grant me his favor to finish this project one of many to come. This is Multinational project which featured background vocals such as Sarah Kollie from Sierra Leone, Zami Mbewe from Zambia, Grace Nworie from Nigeria, Vera Johnson from Liberia, Liliane Njin and Agnes Gwan from Cameroon respectively and my myself from Liberia. One love for all people and all nations in the name of Christ the Lord. Every CD purchase goes to one of our ministries and 10 percent goes to the Gardnersville Bible Fellowship in Liberia, Hilltop Pentecostal church in Sierra Leone and other causes.
