Run to the Cross
BIO BIOGRAPHY: Larry Broadway 'LB' LB-ministries TM 2007 ASCAP®TM Songwriter & Gospel Recording Artist Larry "LB" is a songwriter, arranger, producer, vocalist, musician and gospel recording artist in Randallstown, Maryland. Larry grew up in Washington, DC and was heavily influenced by the R&B and Jazz groups of his era. As a young child growing up in the nation's capital, he was born to parents that knew the Lord! "I never knew my mother who passed away when I was very young but I know that she had been praying for me and my brothers." "My father was the first to notice my ability to sing at a young age and would encourage me to sing gospel hymns in front of family and friends. I realized later that this was just the beginning of what God had in store for me, and that I would wind up not only singing for God but playing piano, directing choirs, and worship leading for church services for Him!" After giving his life to Christ in 1990, "LB" was then moved by God's hymns and influenced by contemporary Gospel music chords. "LB" began to write lyrics and musical arrangements, and began to fuse his love of gospel music and hymns with his love for contemporary jazz and urban contemporary sounds without abandoning or compromising the raw beauty of traditional gospel music hymns. "LB", is currently in the studio recording his soon to be released debut CD "Run to the Cross", a spiritual and vocal testimony of music and song to Jesus Christ. His CD is slated for release in September 2007. D.
