Larry Conrad It was slippery on the roof alone January 10, 1990, I was working at Seaming the roof in Marengo IL., at Barrett Industrial Trucks on that gloomy day. We did not have much safety on the job however; we did have warmers to protect us from the cold weather. Everything was fine after I heard a still Voice of knowing to fasten the ear warmer around my head, which was fastened to the Hard Hat Rim. Then it happened, I slipped, my left foot went into the gutter, i swore, and I could not get up on the slippery roof so instead, I placed my right foot behind the left while holding the Seamier forward and reverse cord. The left foot slipped; Words from my mouth before I fell "GOD help me". I remembered no pain just numbness hitting the cold ice covered ground with my head and shoulder, then I blacked out. I slightly remember the Helicopter that saves lives who transported me to the Hospital. Thank You Christ JESUS for the Truck Driver who found me on the ice covered ground in Marengo on that gloomy day. I do not know this man till this day, only what was told.
