Journey: Bluegrass Gospel
My 30 years of pastoral and missionary work has convinced me of many things, but I am convinced beyond all else, that a great need of our churches is revival and a great need of our world is spiritual awakening. Larry Ross, Evangelist Accepted Christ at the age of 10 in the Big Island Baptist Church, Virginia Was licensed to the ministry in 1975 by Elon Baptist Church, Madison Heights, Virginia Started out as a lay pastor in 1978 for Corner Stone Baptist Church, Monroe, Virginia Was ordained to the ministry in 1979 by Corner Stone Baptist Graduated from Bluefield College Attended Southern Seminary Served as a church planter in West Virginia Served as a NAMB missionary in West Virginia Served as a IMB missionary in Lisbon Portugal Has participated in mission trips to Romania, St. Croix, Brazil, Florida and Missouri Has served as pastor in Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland Has preached revival meetings in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania I am available for revivals, crusades, Bible conferences, witnessing training and winter Bible studies. My wife, Janet, and I are available for revival and worship music. This is a faith-based ministry dependent upon offerings and gifts. I have served in a wide range of ministries that have included small, rural churches and suburban churches as well as new church starts. These have included both full-time and bi-vocational situations. I know the heart of a pastor and I know the heart of the local church. I believe that the local church is the body of Christ and is still dear to the heart of God today. I also believe that God's heart aches for churches to experience revival and for His world to experience spiritual awakening. Some scripture verses that burn in my mind are Psalms 85:6-7 (NKJV), "Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation."
