Latin Jazz Roots
Founded by the percussionists Edwin Camacho and Miguel Llanos. Is a concept with clear and defined goals that strive to fulfill several specifics needs of the musical atmosphere of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Within the standards of our native African origins the percussion, the piano, the bass, and the vibraphone are complemented to introduce the Latin Jazz Root's. The bossa nova, the mambo, as well as the bolero are played with a particular feeling of the heat of the rhythm, like some musical group have achieved. The music of the Latin Jazz Root's is rich in rhythm and beauty, which receives influences of the greatest masters of the decades 50's and the 60's specially the musical work of the great Cal Tjader and Carlos Jovim. The integrators are musicians with a solid musical trajectory, local and internationally.
