Your Blood Your Love
31-year old LaVeil Rucker is the son of a Baptist Pastor, grew up surrounded by music as his father sang in a quartet group. He plays several instruments but primarily keyboards and drums. He has been singing since age 13 and along the way won several talent shows from the Mid-South Fair in Memphis to the AT&T showcase. He also sang in his local choir in Blytheville, Arkansas where he was raised and during that time was selected for All Region and State choirs. At the age of 18, LaVeil joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Mildenhall, England. While there, he performed in professional workshops with professional artists such as Chester Baldwin and Ella Scott. After leaving the military, he moved to Atlanta where he recorded his first independently released secular album. He was the opening act for Tony Rich and previously performed in showcases for Outkast and Usher seeking a record deal. After that experience, he decided to go back to his original roots performing gospel and leading Praise and Worship at a local Atlanta church. He also performed on local television shows while in the city. His preferred style of music is Praise and Worship in a fresh format with many different influences musically. His musical philosophy is to write and create music from the heart that touches the soul. He is blessed with a wide vocal range and delivers a harmonizing sound behind catchy and positive hooks. Music influences include Stevie Wonder, Fred Hammond, John P Kee, D'angelo and Brian McKnight. Laveil is a gifted writer, producer, arranger and composer who believes the world needs a 'right now' word and that God has told him to go out and spread that word through his music ministry. He and his 18-member group Leju, recently recorded their first Praise and Worship CD in a live performance at a church in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 29th. This project was the culmination of his dream three years in the making after his wife passed away of breast cancer at the age of 26. It was his desire on this project to make sure that is was NOT about himself in anyway, but that it was all about the goodness of God. Our motto is that we should 'decrease' so that God should 'increase' and that is a creed he lives by every day. He is an anointed man of God who is on a mission to minister HIS word to the world.
