Sings Hank Cochran &
I first heard lea anne sing at joe gilchrist's club, the flora bama lounge, somewhere in the mid-eighties. Joe, red lane and i bought a house on the beach within crawling distance of the flora-bama. A lot of us crawled over to the house after the club closed and continued picking and performing our songs. That's where i really began listening to lea anne in earnest. Throughout the years, during many visits to the beach house and the club, i became more and more interested in her boundless energy and intense desire to become a recording artist. I asked my friend and songwriter, red lane, to help my wife suzi and i find some songs strong enough for lea anne's unique voice and delivery. With the inspired sack of songs in hand, suzi and i invited lea anne and her husband ron, to come visit us in our home in Tennessee. Since my brand new home studio had just been completed, i decided that lea anne should be the first to record there. I think she did the place up proud. Don't you...i knew you would! Hank cochran le anne has been playing at the flora bama for the past 18 years. She left Dallas, Texas after she was nominated for female vocalist of the year for the state of Texas with bonnie raitt and janie fricke back in 1982. (janie fricke won). this album is a must have!
