Lew El was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. Growing up in Silver City, MS, his music is his own version of the blues. Blues Hop is a mesh of blues and hip hop inspired by the Mississippi Delta lifestyle. The soul of the music lies within the hole-in-the-wall juke joints, the mom-and-pop spots, the churches, the liquor stores, and the hearts of the Delta's African American natives. Lew first came to the rap seen in 2002 with the release of WDELTA 24.7 FM, the album was sold locally and internationally via the internet.
