Time for Bed
Christine and Shannyn originally recorded this CD in St. Louis during the 08 show. Laughingly called the 'Westchester Sessions' they recorded the first laydowns in a stunningly restored turn of the century mansion house in the Forest Park area. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen computer glitch....way to go Bunnie...the tracks were pretty unuseable due to a really really really annoying low mhz buzz. SO... we decided to re-record at the simply fabulous 'Word Of Mouth Studios' in New Orleans. About this Album: This record is a bit of a departure from our normal material. For starters, there's only two of us on this recording. Christine and Shannyn wanted to try something a bit different, a bit more vocally challenging, a little more serious. Both classically trained in voice, Christine & Shannyn were excited and had a lot of fun recording and composing this album. First came the melody, and then they composed layers around it. So, even though you're hearing 6 part harmony, it's just these two! There aren't any loud & crazy bits, and this is suitable for all to listen to! (Of course, there is some sillyness on here. We couldn't resist. ) The Alphabet Song Traditional, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Traditional, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Hush Little Baby Traditional, Lyrics by S.Kelly, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Peace Be With You Hymn, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Ode To Joy Traditional, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Brahms Lullabye Traditional, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Everything Possible Fred Small, Pine Barrens Music Taps Traditional, arranged by S.Kelly & C.Johnson Bonus Track - it's a surprise Bonus Track: Just simply the best sillyness we could find. That's all! Of special note: 'Everything Possible' was a hard song for Shannyn to get through. It took 3 takes and some verrrry long pauses (for tears). We know, it's a bit...tight sounding. Shannyn says: 'This song is so beautiful, it had to go on this album. I hope everyone that hears it, truly hears it. Where would we be if we'd all heard this when we were kids? '
