Product Notes

Linda Nail - singer-songwriter Linda came to Nashville from Wabash, Arkansas in 1973 determined to make a career in the music business and her determination paid off. On linda's first visit to Nashville she recorded a demo session with Fred Carter at Nugget studios. She also heard that Opryland USA was having it's last day of auditions for talent for the new season, so she packed up her guitar and went to audition.'There were so many people there', she says. 'When it was my turn i'de been there five hours and i was so tired i wasn't nervous'. Linda, who is a petite blonde with a warm smile and energy that is beyond the small frame, performed in the Country Music USA show at Opryland for seven years. Opryland chose linda to portray barbera Mandrel, Tammy Wynette and the legendary Minnie pearl, all of which combined in a great display of Lindas versatility. She was among the elite of the Opryland performers who were chosen to tour with the troupe to major citites across the US during the Winter months. She took advantage of that time and would often visit radio stations to promote records. All the while Linda performed at opryland she continued to work on her recording career. An introduction to the lat Wally Cochran grew into a lasting friendship. An RCS Records exec. He offered linda a recording contract on his own Paragon records label. He became her manager. 'Stop in Nevada', became her first single on the new label. After his death, linda continued to work at Opryland, still working on her music. She then recorded a single for Ridgetop Records, which became her second chart single. Her third'There Hangs his hat' also charted. Three out of three isn't bad! 'I started singing about the time I learned to talk', she says recalling an old fashioned family 'who really love me and want me to be happy. They are very proud of her.'I sang in the chruch when I was 15, i became a regular member of the Arkansas Jambore. I guess I really got excited about being a singer when I won a local talent contest and i realized that it was possible for me to move Nashville and record and be in the music business'. Linda is more than a singer or performer. She is a musical communicator who can reach and move people with her interpretation of lyrics. She can crawl between the lines of her songs, find their real meaning and convey that mood to her audience. Few artists acheive this as easily as Linda. Linda has personality that sparkles with excitement when she is talking about her music, is the type of person who will take advantage of, and truly appreciate, the many opportunites that come her way. She mad her first appearance no the Grand Ole Opry as a guest of Roy Acuff and has been a guest on the show many times. She made television appearances on the Ralph Emery show, Portor Waggoner show, the Road show In Memphis, channel 4 magazine, Opryland on stage, WSM's noon show, and the NBC-TV game show, 'Fasntasy' with the Dallas Cowboy;s quarterback Danny White. She also made personal performance appearances with Glen Campbell, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Boots Randolph and Ronnie Prophet. Linda was also on 'Arkansas comes Home' a show in Little Rock, which featured singers and musicians who were natives of Arkansas. Linda followed up with two more chart records. One, a duet with Danny white, the Kim Carnes song, 'Your're a part of Me', and the other, the title cut from her first album,'Reminiscing', on the grand prix label. Another of her talents is her songwriting. Her latest recordings are two of her own self penned songs. They are 'I want to be there', and 'Circle' they are being released on a special project title'Your Love Remains'. The project is a double album set of songs by Linda and other artists for people whoa re grieving lost loved ones adn anyone who needs to hear an inspirational message. She continues her portrayal of Minnie Pearl in appearances around the nation. Linda calls Nashville home. Along with her husband dave they own and operate the tune Castle Recording studio located in Goodlettsville TN. Linda sings demos for the studios clients and contributes with producing as well. Linda is always working creatively with her music. She writes songs in nearly all styles and is developing new projects all the time. Joyce Allsup - songwriter let's start here. I love music, and this is a few of the songs i have written for a new CD by Linda Nail, who sings beautifully and adds so much to a song. She's multi-talented. Joyce has written for many artists during the years. She has had so many reviews and articles in the Trade magazines. She feels very fortunate to have so much going on, and still has so many more to write, which will keep her busy.'I am overwhlemed by Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris version of 'we'll Sweep out the ashes' a duet that is being recorded world-wide. To say the least, to me everything is a song!'Go to music section to see the songs by joyce Allsup.
