Originally released 1999 FREEDOM - NO COMPROMISEFreedom - No Compromise [LP] - Freedom - No Compromise is Little Steven’s third solo album, originally released 1987. The record was leaned heavily to dance-rock, verging in places on world music. Bruce Springsteen and Rubén Blades join Van Zandt on lead vocals with "Native American" and "Bitter Fruit", respectively. At the time, politics were at the forefront, centering on U.S. transgressions in Central America, South Africa, and against Native Americans. originally released 1987 MEN WITHOUT WOMENMen Without Women [LP] - Little Steven & the Disciples of Soul made their spectacular debut with 1982’s Men Without Women, highlighted by a pair of rock radio favorites, “Lyin’ In A Bed Of Fire” and “Forever,” the latter of which spent nine weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 while also receiving heavy rotation at the newly launched MTV. They celebrated the album with sold-out live dates, including a legendary performance at NYC’s famed Peppermint Lounge with electrifying renditions of “Save Me” and “This Time It’ REVOLUTIONRevolution [LP] - Revolution is the fourth solo album by Little Steven released in 1989. The Disciples of Soul were gone in all but name (although former Disciple/Young Rascals drummer Dino Danelli did the album art), and the music was largely electronic. VOICE OF AMERICAVoice Of America [LP] - Voice of America is the second solo album by Little Steven & the Disciples of Soul, released in 1984. This album traded in the horns and R&B influences of the previous “Men Without Women” for a raw, garage-rock sound.
