Originally a native Californian, Lori has always had a passion for music. Growing up she sang in the school choir, developing a distinct love for music. But her first choice of music was rock and roll. She also loved the sounds of percussions and beats, and has now blended it all together in her first CD. With her powerful voice, you can feel her passion and intensity in her music. Yet in some of her songs, she shows a humorous view of life's ironic situations. She also tries to keep in mind to not take herself too serious all the time. In retrospect, humor has been her 'Saving Grace' through difficult times. 'I write songs of variety because life offers so much variety. I love pizza, but I don't want it everyday,'she says.'Of course growing up listening to top 40 stations has had an effect on me. I also used to listen to my parents collection of rock and roll and the R and B stuff from the 70's. Love that music! At the same time, I feel like I'm keeping a journal of my life expressed through my songs. The truth, as I have known it to be, is right there in my lyrics', Lori says. From her powerful rock meets hip-hop song 'Live the Dream', to the exotic dance/rock tune 'Got U on the Run', Lori has a variety of styles as a singer-songwriter. Her upbeat rock tunes 'Flavor of the Moment' and 'Soul Searcher', really showcase her raw energy as well. She exposes her deeper emotions with songs like 'By My Side', and 'Angel with a Broken Wing' which gives us some insight to her multi-faceted life and her reflection of it all. 'I wanted to stay true to the idea of bringing a live, organic feel to the recording, meaning live musicians. Imagine that!' says Lori. 'I believe the true talent of the artist is seen in their live performances and this is what I love.'
