Lori Lynne started playing the harp when she was 10 years old. It has become as much a part of her as breathing! At the age of 15, she released 'Voices of Nature,' a collection of 14 original Celtic harp compositions, in December of 2002. She loved the recording experience. Her fans enjoyed her recording too, and wanted more! Because she had so many requests for a collection of harp Christmas songs, Lori recorded 'Christmas Lights.' It is a collection of traditional Christmas songs performed on the Celtic harp. There are two original compositions, Christmas Lights and Christmas Peace. The latter was actually composed by Lori's mother in 1983 and later recorded by the St. Anne's Choir in San Francisco in 1992. Lori resurrected her mother's composition and recorded it in harp only, instead of the full orchestration used in 1992. Because Lori lives in a primarily rural area, the change of seasons and the touch of nature is still evident in her daily life. Her playing reflects the calmness and peacefulness of the rural lifestyle. Lori loves experiencing the vitality of nearby San Francisco, but finds inspiration in the ambience of her little, Central Valley town. The encouragement of the recording engineers at Flavianni Recording in San Francisco has contributed to the quality of the CD while maintaining the personal feeling of 'Lori Lynne' throughout the album. Think of 'Christmas Lights' as Lori Lynne's Christmas card to you and yours with the hopes of bringing peace and Christmas joy into your home.
