LOVEPROOF is singer/songwriter Larissa Tandy. Her songs are tales and truths - love stories, good and bad, wrapped in a unique sound that blends beautiful pop, angular folk and pieces of rock into a distinct sounding collection of moments ................. Only a few years ago, she was an advertising executive, spending her spare time playing bass and writing songs for a successful indie pop outfit in Australia. During this time she co-wrote the song Sugar High, which won national broadcaster TRIPLE J\'s Unearthed competition - the competition that brought Silverchair and Missy Higgins to the world's attention. She also quit that band the day the win was announced and the band immediately folded. Buying some time to clarify her next move musically, she took off to Los Angeles to further her advertising career. Within weeks she knew what she wanted to do, called a couple of handpicked collaborators, quit her job, and flew home to Melbourne to start writing and recording ................. LOVEPROOF released a self titled debut ep mid 2006, which is still currently receiving regular airplay, thanks to an enthusiastic response from Australian indie radio. With the validation of radio and the music press, Loveproof continued to play bigger and bigger shows, graduating to the big stages of Australias summer outdoor music festivals before relocating to North America mid 2007. Now based in Vancouver, and currently putting the finishing touches on her next release, LOVEPROOF hits the road this Spring for her UGLY SOFT TOUR - a string of Solo Acoustic shows.
