Whilst visiting in Alabama after my mom died and without my guitar, I borrowed my niece's modest acoustic guitar, wrote some songs, recorded some songs. There you go... 'The Colors' was written the day after my mother's funeral. I was in the back yard, came around front and there were all these beautiful flowers that had been delivered which were left over from the wake. I thought that she should be there to see them, but of course she was busy being in Heaven.....The song 'Think about it ' was written years ago to Ronald Raygun with his 'just say no' mantra and mandatory drug sentences while being elected with the help of Coors beer money, hmmm. Paul McCartney said he couldn't believe after 40 years (from 1966) pot was still illegal. Neither can I. Drug smugglers and politicians don't want it legal. How sad that we could disable the violence with one stroke of a pen.We could end the war on drugs if we took another approach. Apparently the one we are using isn't working. Neal Boortz shares my opinion as well.Check out his radio program. FDR was elected due, in large part, to his promise to end alcohol prohibition. At that time, the American people realized that it only fed crime and robbed us of precious tax dollars. We need politicians with the balls to do this now. Sadly all we have are silly little men who fancy themselves to be more than they are....The song 'Why Don't You Want Me' was written from the viewpoint of a soon to be terminated unborn child. Could be you or me.....this CD( and individual songs) is available with most online digital services i.e. itunes, etc. Thank you..............p.s. It should be pointed out that FDR in 1937 signed the anti-marijuana act proving that the whole lesson of alcohol prohibition was lost on him as well, and that the average American has more common sense than the self-righteous,self-serving politicians that we keep putting into office. 70 years.....we have allowed this 'war' on drugs to continue. 70 years we have allowed those people we couldn't stand in high school to dictate out public policy. Have you seen our elected officials? Most of them should be president of turdtown, nothing more.
