Mariadela (Lima-Perú) singer, songwriter & talented musician, started her musical journey at a very early age taking flute lessons and then discovering her eternal companion, the guitar. Being the highlight of school plays and shows since age five, she would soon realize her intrinsic desire of becoming one of the best exponents of Latin American Pop representing her country overseas. Before leaving her native country, Mariadela co-lead a duo called "Alma Gemela," which was well known for their original compositions and their very distinctive acoustic style. She would then submerge in the North American culture, embracing jazz, blues and folk elements, which would later reflect in her performances in different major cities of North Carolina, California, and Florida. In March 2007, Mariadela released her first single called "En Silencio," which was launched in "Macarena," Miami Beach. This EP includes songs such as: "Tengo," "En Silencio" and "Busca Tu Voz." In July 2007, this last song was the winner of the Song of the Year contest (SOTY), a popular American competition with renown jury artists such as Norah Jones, and Bon Jovi. In November of 2008, Mariadela launched her new album "Lineas 1000" in Lima-Peru, with a series of shows and concerts appearing before thousands of followers. 'Lineas 1000' is compilation of 10 songs composed by the artist and an adaptation of Love Song, song that made the English band The Cure famous.It was recorded in studios of both Miami, FL (Audiovision) and Lima, Peru (FMO) under the musical direction of Francisco Murias Ocampo, who was nominated to the Latin Grammy in 2006. Mariadela, a melodic voice, as well as an innovative, and charismatic artist is currently in South Florida offering interviews and concerts as part of the 'Lineas 1000' Tour 2009.
