Mario Schott-Zierotin studied bass at the Academy of Music in Vienna while completing his degree in Music Theory and Sciences at the University of Vienna. A member of the Vienna Volksoper orchestra since 1983, Schott-Zierotin has performed with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Philharmonic, the Austrian-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic under conductor Adam Fischer and in myriad international engagements with chamber music ensembles. He has been a regular ensemble member of the "Carinthische Sommer" in Carinthia, Austria for eight years. As guest musician, Schott-Zierotin has worked with the Moscow Virtuosi under the auspices of Vladimir Spivakov. A publisher of chamber music and as a specialist in Strauß, Lanner and Fahrbach, he has recorded numerous CDs in a classical quartett. In 2003, he began his independent career as a soloist at the Vienna Burg Theater with three productions 'Der Nachtschelm und das Siebenschwein', 'Nie bist Du ohne Nebendir', "Nimm einen Strick, und schieß Dich tot.', of which performances already number over 100 x's in Austria and Germany. Pianist Georg Wagner, born 1950 in Vienna, completed his musical education at the University of Vienna in 1974 with multiple degrees conferred. After a twelve year teaching stint at the Institute for Music and Drama in Khartoum, Sudan, Wagner was named to his current post as Music Director at Vienna's Burg Theater. Alongside his position at the theater, Wagner's lively interest in all aspects of music have led him to a dynamic engagement in a variety of related fields. His endeavors include the construction of cembalos, publication of a Nestroy songbook, composition of chansons, arranging, rewriting, teaching at Vienna's music university and city conservatory, performances as percussionist with every major Viennese orchestra and ongoing activity as solo and accompanist on piano and cembalo. This CD contains the musical highlights of the three productions 'Der Nachtschelm und das Siebenschwein', 'Nie bist Du ohne Nebendir', "Nimm einen Strick. Und schieß Dich damit tot.' and was recorded in the Vienna Burgtheater.
