MARK BOUCOT BIOGRAPHY MARCH 2004: Mark Boucot has a vision to make a difference in the world through the power of music. A gifted songwriter and musician, he follows his muse to manifest positive energy in his music and his message. His new CD is lyrically influenced by the beat writers, with Kerouac being his favorite. Musically it features acoustic guitars, baby grand piano and swirling hammond organs. Mark is a phenomenal guitarist, but also delivers some nice piano-based tunes on this release. With sweeping melodies, rich harmonies and subtle guitar placements, the sound on this CD harkens back to a time when idealism ruled and freedom of expression was undaunted by corporate agendas. Robert Federici, who has had several songs chart on billboard top 100, produced the CD. He was assisted by engineer Scott Herzog from Third Story Recording in Philadelphia, PA who co-engineered it. Mark's song 'Talking With Angels' was selected for inclusion on a songwriter's compilation CD called 'Land That I Love' on Hill Top Records in Hollywood CA (2004). The compilation will have national distribution. Mark made his first West Coast appearance at the Southern California Songwriter's EXPO sponsored by Artists Helping Artists (AHA) in Orange County in August 2003. His music can be heard on several radio stations in the North East and satellite radio. Ultimately, as a writer, Mark seeks to use his songwriting talents to help others and make a difference in the world. $5 from every CD sold will be donated to PROJECT HOPE, which is a non-profit organization that provides medical, nutritional and social services to the homeless of the City of Camden, NJ, directing them to self sufficiency. Check out his new CD, it's a great work of art with an even greater cause.
