Livin' to Be Free
I am from the small town of Bailey, North Carolina. I\'ve been playing and writing music since I was sixteen years old. Last year the good Lord made a change in my life and I promised him to open my heart to others and sing. In doing just that, I entered the Colgate Country Showdown, sponsored by WDWG 98.5 \'The Big Dawg\'. I won regionals and then went on to win the North Carolina/South Carolina Colgate Country Showdown. In the end I placed 2nd in the United States Southeast Regionals in Thomaston, Georgia. I am now an on-air personallity from 6am to 10am on WDWG 98.5, which is out of Rocky Mount, NC. Also, I\'ve been a North Carolina state employee for over 10 years. My first CD, \'Livin\' To Be Free\', is a mixture of modern and traditional country music and I wrote all the songs along with the help of Spook Joyner. This CD is a reflection of my life and values, which brings forth emotions in each and every song. Please continue to keep me in your prayers, because without God everything is impossible.
