Fire & the Flame
Once again, Maskerade is back on the scene with a new installment of beautiful urban music. This time around, 'The Fire and the Flame' sets things off for the grown and sexy. At an early age Maskerade always knew he wanted to be a singer. Starting out rapping with his best friend on the streets of Southern California, Mask eventually gravitated to singing. After several efforts of trying to link up with anyone in the music industry, Maskerade found himself with the desire still to express himself. In the summer of 2006 he released his first album, 'Luv Iz Crazi'. Luv Iz Crazi quickly caught on across the world and began recieving major radio play in places like the UK, France, and Spain. The rest is history. 'Once I caught the indie bug, I knew I would never stop recording my music again,' says Mask about his first experience releasing an independent album. 'It has served me well to obtain the knowledge that I have right now through trial and error. Now I'm taking what I've learned and planning on acheiving my highest goals with this album.' 2006 marked the release of the second effort, 'Prilud 2 Luv'. It was not as highly accepted, but served a purpose in the learning curve. Still, Prilud 2 Luv has got some jams on it. If your a Maskerade fan, you've got to get a hold of one of these copies before their gone forever. Fast forward three years and it has been a while since the man has been out with some new music. 'I've actually been working on this album for about one to two years. I changed my mind on so many things. The decision that had the most impact was deciding to produce the entire album myself. This album is about the fire that still burns inside my heart to make this music. It is a direct reflection of me, a painting of sorts.' It's almost a Picasso. The Fire and the Flame offers you a chance to listen to some great song writing once again. Maskerade's music has a flare for life and love and fire! Enjoy these 13 tracks from the start to finish.
