Simple Meditations for Stress Reduction and Healin
Meera Jain (BS, DPS) Combining the traditions of Psychology and Spirituality, Meera Jain has been sharing her knowledge and experience in a number of different modalities and subjects for many years. This includes Meditation, Reiki, Archetypal Psychology, Inner Child Work and more. Her ability to zone in on the problem and guide a person through a process to recovery in just a few sessions amazes her students and clients, who come from all walks of life. She has a soothing voice and a calming manner, which can guide anyone with ease on a journey of Self-Healing and Self-Discovery. This 3-step meditation program is the result of leading and facilitating workshops, seminars and healing circles over many years. Guided Meditations or Journeys, as she likes to call them, come very naturally to Meera. This meditation program was put together because students and clients began to ask for a CD to take home with them, so they would have a tool at hand that could help to relieve their stress and continue their healing journey. Meera has a background in Psychology. After finishing her postgraduate studies in Oxford, UK; she worked as an Assistant Psychologist in the areas of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, but felt very discontented with the nature of conventional medicine. Her own spiritual upbringing and knowledge prompted her for many years to find tools that go beyond therapy and can treat and heal the whole person (mind, body and spirit). In 2001, she was the co-author of an NIH grant to study the efficacy of Reiki as well as being responsible for teaching Reiki to a group of people, for the purpose of conducting research.
