Born and raised in Southern California, Michelle is second among seven children in a home where family gatherings on holidays always included piano, horn, and Hawaiian Guitar music. She received much inspiration from the ability and creative compositions of her grandfather, uncle and aunt. Michelle's own musical training began with piano lessons at age seven, and she started teaching lessons to other children and her own siblings at age thirteen. Being home-educated gave her a good academic foundation while allowing her the freedom to develop her musical talent. She attended California State University in Northridge, known for it's acclaimed music department, and graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, in 2002. Since her graduation, Michelle has enjoyed traveling and also using her music by composing, arranging, teaching and going on missions trips and performing in concerts in California, Mexico and Colombia. She also serves as the pianist and music coordinator for the church which her father pastors in Southern California.. Besides piano, Michelle enjoys playing the mandolin, guitar, and Irish flute. In her free time she relishes a good hike with her dog, Latte', or a strenuous backpacking trip in God's great outdoors. She has a heart for teen girls and has led a girls' Bible study for a local youth group for three years. Traveling, home decorating, landscape gardening are more of her hobbies. On her CD, Michelle's choice of hymn selections, and her own compositions, are the fruit or the daily time she spends in God's Word. We know you'll be encouraged in your own walk with the Lord as you listen.
