Nice & Slow
Chicago's own Mike Logan is a supremely talented musician, producer, arranger, and vocalist who began his profession career playing keyboards for The Staple Singers, Gene Chandler, and The Emotions. His next step was to found a self-contained group called OnStage. Onstage achieved some success releasing three singles that received critical acclaim here and throughout the United Kingdom. After OnStage parted ways, Mike became a much sought-after producer for local performers like Byron Woods, Bradley Young, and Michael Ross. Mike also began a long association as the keyboardist for Ramsey Lewis, co-writing, producing and singing on several of Ramsey's recordings. Mike was also a member of Urban Knights, playing and singing on their first album. From there he began a stint as the Musical Director for Phil Perry, and toured with Kirk Whalum, Will Downing, Gerald Albright, Steve Cole, Patti Austin, and Chante Moore. The "12 Play" album by R. Kelley also included Mike Logan. That is a pretty impressive list of accomplishments but we thought that it was time for Mike to show the world what these people already knew.
