It's About Time
Missing Pages is what the music scene has been "missing". The band is entertaining, energetic, and appealing to a vast audience. With a target demographic of 18 to 28 year-olds, Missing Pages brings a sound that is stylistically diverse; pop rock, funk, punk and hints of jazz are just a few of the styles you might experience. With an incredible stage show and melodies that will stay in your head, Missing Pages will keep an audience thirsting for more. Missing Pages was formed in the spring of 2003 and since that time have gained the respect and admiration of a growing Pittsburgh music scene. Recent first place wins in both the Rolling Rock / 93.7FM K-Rock sponsored "Kick Ass Battle of the Bands" and the Station Square "Rock Off 2005" named Missing Pages the top band out of 111 total area bands. The real reason Missing Pages has been a success so far is the band members. Each member of Missing Pages has years of experience under their belt. Josh has been playing in various bands since he was 12 years old, and has been playing the guitar for almost 16 years. He also co-owns and operates a small recording studio where he has been fine tuning his ears for the past three years. Brandon was classically trained at Carnegie Mellon University. He has also done studio work with blues legends Piney Brown and Tommy Brown. These recordings landed him on the pages of "Blues Review Magazine" and on tour in Holland with Tommy Brown for the prestigious Blues Estafette Festival. Mike has been around the Pittsburgh music scene and back again. He has played in such bands as Mercury and The Voodoo Babies, during which time he has played some of the biggest and best venues in the area. Binks got his experience from studying classical and jazz music at Slippery Rock University where he earned a degree in music education. His musical experience includes several performances in New York City and a tour in Europe with the Slippery Rock Jazz Ensemble. Binks fills in the sound of Missing Pages by playing Keyboards, Sax, Trumpet and singing tight harmonies. Jake is the youngest member of Missing Pages. He started playing guitar, ironically, after seeing Josh and Brandon play a show with their High School band Stairre. Since that time he has grown to be a phenomenon on guitar, blending styles of Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammett and Jimi Hendrix. So go ahead... give Missing Pages a listen... you WON'T be disappointed!
