I ran into the Mitty Boyz in Panama City, Fla., the final stop on their three week promotional tour. The mood was on fire, and the people were out of control. The small buzz in the streets, bars, and night clubs alone was enough to have me wondering; what does this independent group and label out of the small state of SOUTH CAROLINA have to offer. Word on the street was that 'JOEY'S NIGHT CLUB' was the place to be. When I arrived there I saw that the crowd was in a complete frenzy. Through the sea of rowdy SPRING BREAKERS is where I saw 'WHAT' (member of the Mitty Boyz and co-founder of COMMITTEEWIDE ENTERTAINMENT INC.) freestylin' over 50 Cent's 'In The Club'. His energy was only matched by the energy of the crowd. When he let down they let down; when he got more intense they got more intense. I was hooked not only by the flow, but also by the way he controlled us (the crowd). By the time 'NITTO' (also member and co-founder) began spittin', it was official; I was a die hard fan of COMMITTEEWIDE ENTERTAINMENT. As the night went on I saw the impact that they had on their newly found followers. More and more people were talking about COMMITTEEWIDE; more and more cars were blasting out the single 'HAYWIRED' along with the 15 other track on the 'HOME GROWN' CD out of there cars. Honestly I have never saw such a following in such a short period of time (they were only here for 2 days) in my career. I finally got my 3 copies of the CD (one for me, one for the staff, and one to have autographed) the next afternoon. It was just what I expected and more. The lyrics kept my attention, and the production kept my head knodding. What caught me the most was the many different subject they tackled through out the 'HOME GROWN' album. This COMMITTEEWIDE ENTERTAINMENT release has something for everbody, and you can get ready for even more. By the end of their final night there the streets rang out 'YEAH BUDDY THAT'S THAT FIRE', and no doubt it is!!!!! I give the Mitty Boyz and COMMITTEEWIDE ENTERTAINMENT'S debut album 'HOME GROWN' 5 out of 6 BRICKS. They are one of the tightest independent groups and labels that I have ever covered. 'REP YO CITY' SOUTH CAROLINA cause they will hold you down. PEACE TO THE STREET!!! Chris Cash, 'INDEPENDENT GRIND NEWLETTER'
