Colours Out of Silence
ABOUT MR STEVI B : Unique British born writer/songwriter and composer who has lived in the U.S. for the larger portion of his life has recently renewed connections to the U.K. Early musical training took place in Yorkshire, England after having received the first guitar. He was then given the gift of classical music training which was quickly displaced by the insatiable desire to compose and create. His spiritual direction changed when he was soundly converted from heathen paganism to Christianity and it was here when his songwriting took a new Theme. \'COLOURS OUT OF SILENCE\' ~ This is the original CD and is the first project of Mr Stevi B and the InterGalactic Light Machine. The european connection is reflective in the title spelling and certain track references ~ primarily \'Venice Dream (Hope\'s Theme)\', which is quite possibly the best executed track on the whole album. \'It came together in a rather incredible way.\' says Mr Stevi B. \'I was working on this piece using digital samples at a final point in the process but had no idea what to call it. Then right on cue an old and dearly beloved friend of ours calls me and that call was the missing part of the puzzle. Unbeknown to her, she herself was the identity for the piece. The desire one day to own a small intimate Italian Restaurant and her many vacations to different parts of Italy etc, etc ...Suddenly it all made sense. She asked how the project was going bla...bla..and I told her that she just gave identity to what I had been working on by her calling at that very moment! It was God joining the dots right under my nose. (A close encounter with the Almighty) The original title was \'Venice in a Daydream\' and quickly became \'Hope\'s Theme\'. A rather unusual experience to say the least! \' ABOUT THE LIGHTMACHINE : \'Technology has become the sonic palette for mixing colors in the realm of the virtual. Thank you Mr Sony for giving us so much fun in doing this. \'Colors Out of Silence\' ~ (the digital release) became the materialization of this process. For the InterGalactic Light Machine this is a Genesis of sorts. Thru the Lightmachine we are introducing or actually re-introducing the concept of \'Sonic Impressionism\', which simply means, (as inspired by classical artists, such as Monet), the many textures and sound colors are painted in such a way as to bring about a beauty as it is viewed as one takes several steps back. In other words looking too closely will reveal texture/color, but a much greater appreciation will transpire as one moves away, as it were, from the \'sonic canvas\' and sees /hears the whole. On our sonic palette we see soundscapes, textures and atmospheres laying down an ambient backdrop for predominant acoustic sounds of both the classical Spanish/latin style and traditional acoustic guitar moving with a new age wave in simplicity with the express purpose of activating the visual screen of the imagination. Our music is a celebration of life, love, and redemption. We encourage the visual screen of the imagination and ask you allow the music to give you the imagery on the screen of your mind as you relax, sit back and enjoy the ride!\' ~ Mr Stevi B and the IGLM.
