FOR SHORE: composed, performed and recorded by Nelson Paiva in his home studio. The music on this CD started as sounds forming in my head as I soaked up the sun on an Avon-By-The-Sea beach at the Jersey shore. The atmosphere of the ocean beach has it's own beauty and sound. No instrument can replace nature's aural sensation of the beach, but certain ones can enhance the perception of actually being on a beach. 1. Seaside Sunrise - The start of a great day, or the ending of a fantastic night - your pick. To actually be on the beach when the sun rises means that you have either been there all night, or raced to get there at just the right time. Both scenarios indicate a passion and a freedom that many people will never experience. 2. Ocean Mist - On a hot summer day or night the air is always more comfortable on the beach at the edge of the ocean, this is due to the mist that forms when the waves crash and send fine water vapors that touch, tingle and caress your skin, and hopefully your friend or lover's as well. 3. The Waves, Sun and Sand - the title just about says it all, there is really nothing like the three, they go together and are not quite as enjoyable when separate. 4. Beach Beat - There is a distinct beat of the beach, with the rhythm of the waves and the shuffling of feet in the sand. You can almost hear the sparkle of sunlight reflecting on the water 5. It's a Perfect Day For... Use your imagination 6. The Sun and Moon play their Part too...The warmth of the sun and the pull of the moon together have a definite effect on us mere mortals, and that effect is usually an amorous one. 7. You, Me and the Sea - There is nothing that can compare to being on the beach with the one you love. Both of you just sitting in the sand and looking at the vastness of the ocean before you. The feeling of being so small, yet so significant that you are able to sit and dream and well, you get the idea, I hope. 8. A Drop in the Ocean - That last drop that falls, that signals it is time to leave, that the best part has come and gone. It's over, it was wonderful, but now it's the end.
