I Thought About You
Lynn Nelson sparkles on this album of jazz vocal favorites! Her partner, Fred Brush on guitar and his son, Keith Brush on bass and Brad Edwards on drums, accompany her. Lynn and Fred have played all over the northwest together, either as a duo or in groups of up to seven (their band the Swing-a-roo's). Their duo album, Love Notes, is also available on CD Baby. Fred Brush ('Freddie'), now based in North Carolina, spent most of his life in Billings, Montana playing guitar and bass in many groups. Keith Brush currently resides in Portland, Oregon, where he is one of the busiest on-call bassists in the area. Keith grew up in Billings, Montana where he played in every sort of musical group imaginable: as diverse as the Billings Symphony and Spurge, a rock group that was to later move on to Portland. Billings, Montana based Brad Edwards ('Eddy Woods'), the voice of jazz on KEMC Yellowstone Public Radio, is the best. Brad has played with many of the biggies: Freddie Hubbard, Kevin Mahogany, Woody Shaw, James Moody, to name a few. His group, The Woods Project, plays all over the northwest. Originally from Minnesota and later California, also now based in North Carolina, Lynn continues to sing and entertain there. She loves jazz and, in particular, the jazz ballad.
