For the past six years nick has been traveling a journey he never could have foreseen. When he decided to leave his rock band in Boston of three-and-a-half years, he began to write and record his own material and in his own way. What started out as an impulse became a career...and now nick is in a place he never thought he would be, a front man of one of the most dynamic and exhilarating contemporary jazz ensembles in LA. During his attendance at the world-renowned berklee college of music, nick began to grow in many ways as a sax player, but more importantly, as a musician, producer and entrepreneur. All of these skills soon became tools to be used to guide his solo career. Having studied with such great saxophone players like fred lipsius (blood, sweat and tears) and walter beasley (smooth jazz chart topper/educator) nick's sound was guided and fine-tuned to be powerful, explosive and refreshing. Red vinyl introduces a new sound and a fun vibe to the genre. The songs are full of great beats and hooks with a sense of humor at times making it an overall great record to chill out too...
