Paradigm has developed a unique approach to music due to a special blend of backgrounds, regional tastes, and inspirations. The five-piece group is united in it's drive to improvise and experiment, and, from moment to moment, one never knows what will come next. Furthermore, the group's harmonically advanced compositional style and memorable melodic statements are sure to be a treat to the ears. Hailing from New Jersey, New York, Kentucky, Maine, and Tennessee, the members of Paradigm came together in 2005, and in a short time, the group has already wowed audiences. Individual members have shared the stage with an assortment of musicians from a wide range of genres, including: Clark Terry, Paquito D'Rivera, Keller Williams, Delfeayo Marsalis, Vince Welnick, Andy Narell, and members of Garaj Mahal. In fact, within months of forming, they found themselves sharing intimate bills and appearances with nationally recognized and popular talent, such as the renowned Benevento/Russo Duo. Jazz is the common ground for these musicians, each of whom is constantly in demand for freelance work and various other musical projects. The sound of the group ranges from rock to trip-hop, with the essence of jazz at it's very core.
