Pat Golden was born in Sweet Home, Oregon, on the 14th of May, 1947 Actually Pat was born 28 miles above Sweet Home in a logging camp in the Cascades. In 1960, Pat migrated to the Southeast (Charlotte, NC), playing music in several local bands before moving to the Florida Keys in the 70's. He retired as a landscaper and moved to Brooksville, Florida, in 1998, and starting writing melodies for Paul Patrick after a chance meeting in Paul's neighborhood. Paul wrote hundreds of songs, in the spirit of Hank Williams, dating back to the early 1970's, but due to a stroke in the Eighties, was unable to put music to them. Paul's one wish was to hear one of his songs on the radio. This wish came true while on his deathbed in January of 2003. The local radio station, WWJB, played his favorite songs on this CD the Saturday morning before his death. The 'Songs Hank Left Behind' was written about Paul Patrick. This CD is dedicated to Paul Patrick. Another album will be released this year, a combination of Paul's songs and Pat Golden's country/gospel songs.
