Best of My Life
HISTORY Pat was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. He then moved to California: Huntington Beach, Monterey Bay, Mendocino and he now lives just outside Nashville Tennessee. Pat has been writing refreshing original music for 20 years. He and his New American Music have been featured on several Northern California radio stations. He began singing John Denver and Donnie Osmond songs at 6 years old and was later inspired by James Taylor, Merle Haggard, and others. He started formal music education in the 4th grade playing trumpet and by the 7th grade he was playing guitar and singing on stage at school shows for 2000+ people. He later studied music at the junior college level and continued his training by attending songwriting workshops at The National Academy of Songwriters for 2.5 years, and hosting/singing Karaoke for over 12 years. Pat produced comedy shows in college then taught health in junior high school. Once each semester Pat would perform for ALL of his classes. The students found this to be a real treat. He remembers one student in particular saying, 'Mr. Riley, you can sing, man you should be a singer, not a teacher' Well, fortunately for the last 7 years Pat has returned to doing what he loves most, writing, recording, and performing original music. FUTURE Pat is finishing up production on 2 more CD's, refreshing different styles, so stay 'tuned', you'll be glad you did. He hopes to form a solid entertainment industry foundation in order to help him TOUR America and around the world. If some other artist wants to perform his songs, that's fine too, but the goal remains the same: to have several of his songs become part of the popular music culture. Thanks for supporting independent music. Happy trails, peace and love, Pat~.
