Aloha means Hello and goodbye, it also means 'let's rock!' Honolulu is one of the 50 largest U.S. cities and has one of the fastest growing music scenes. The Peak is one of the bands leading the rock movement. The Peak's long awaited debut album has a mainstream sound with alt/rock female vocals and heavy metal licks. As Starbucks pop up all over Honolulu like wildflowers in spring, bands like the Peak are filling the Hawaii breeze with rock and roll. Peak's lead singer 'Katie' is originally from L.A. and has an awesome voice. She is also a model and an actor with successful roles in both television and movies. 'Ben' is the bands lead guitarist, originally from Colorado. Ben's idol is Joe Satriani and believes that laws limiting the volume of music need to be banned. The rest of the band are born and raised in Hawaii. 'Curtis' the band's rythm guitarist writes most of the songs and concentrates on deep and moving lyrics. He believes music lyrics are the modern day poetry for society and writes about life, love, and failed dreams. 'Lisa' is our 105lb drummer girl. She is a bundle of energy, like a little wolverine, she keeps yelling out 'drum solo' in concerts. 'Kevin' is the bass player and serves as manager. His day-job manager background and MBA keeps the band grounded and focused. Absolutely no drugs allowed, and beer only after gigs/practice. Everyone has to be on time, if you are late you have to eat something Lisa baked. Peak is proof positive that rock and roll is alive and well in Hawaii. The band is already writing new music for their second CD scheduled for release in 2005.
