Product Notes

Perrycomotatus (PC) rides again. He is a sensitive crooner with an independent mindset, and an affinity for things agrarian. The songs on Kindred Scyth were compiled from a series of recording sessions done several years ago in Olympia, Washington, and Wichita, Kansas. The lovely and talented Eileen Denton accompanied on vocals, and gifted viola and violin player Ari Langer lent his melodic stylings to several of the album's tunes also. Percussionist, Curtis Martens showed up one night and played tambourine (on Not Answerin' Today). The title for the album was inspired by a book written by Mary Talbott Rice entitled, 'The Scythians.' The book chronicled the Scythian people, a bunch of Iron Age hooligans who gave the Greeks a really hard time. They also made some wonderful art, and they liked to work with hemp. The Scythians were a herding culture that thrived in a broad expanse stretching from Germany to China. The inter-related tribes referred to each other as the Kindred Scyth. They had their day in the sun, and then the times changed.
