Confessions from the Edge
Sometimes in the life of a musician the need to quickly get the ideas out of your head and onto a recording outweigh the hindsight of over analyzing every note and beat of the recording. This project was never intended to be disguised as anything but just that. It is simply musicians with an 8-track recorder in the basement doing what they love to do. However, we feel that the honesty and emotion of this recording, no matter how raw, should be shared with all of you. The lyrics, which are included in the liner notes, read like the pages of a diary from the heart of the artist to the soul of the listener. The music consistently glides between quiet solitude and orchestral drama. Written and recorded shortly after 9/11 some of the lyrical subject matter focuses on how that day changed many peoples perception of their daily life. Everyone deals with things in their own unique way. Loss, regret, love, forgiveness, anger, sadness, joy, tolerance, politics and personalities. Hear every Confession and cleanse your mind. 'Driving this snow-lined, two lane road Trying to find myself lost I was lost but now I'm found Crystal clear, royal blue sky Wind slightly bending tree Feet firmly on the ground' 'Organic'-'Confessions from the Edge'-Playground 'The meaning of life you see, isn't just pretending You have to believe my friend, don't be condescending If we had the crystal ball, would we keep trying? Just handle the cards you're dealt, what are you hiding?' 'Here I am'-'Confessions from the Edge'-Playground.
