Something from Nothing
To view each band member's bio, visit our website! We'd love for you to take a look at it, but in case you're in a hurry... READ THIS... We thought that we would put a short collective band bio on here so that you can get to know a little about how we got started and, more importantly, what we are all about. So here we go: Pottersfield first came together in June of 2002 when Jacob Jones, a student at Carl Albert State College, started a Tuesday night service at his church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, that was centered towards college and high school aged students. He was looking to put together a group to lead praise and worship, so he called up Scott, who was a friend of his from high school. Scott said that he would do it and told Jacob that Corey would do it too, even though he hadn't said anything about it to Corey. Next, Jacob called up Josh, who he knew because Josh had been the praise worship leader at the BSU at Carl Albert. Josh said that he would sing and also that he would bring a drummer. After a productive first practice, the guys began playing every Tuesday night at what became called Overflow. This went on until the end of the summer when it was decided that Overflow would be just a summertime thing. A decision had to be made. They had to decide whether they should stay together and see what happened or go off to school. They began to receive calls to come play youth retreats, revivals, and church events. After choosing a name, the band then decided to open up and continue to move forward in the direction that God was allowing them to go. p.s.
