Famous First Songs
Private Dancer was originally founded in 1996 by members of some local bands in Mannheim (Germany) to perform the music of Tina Turner (hence the name!). Tina's voice, Romanian singer Irina Andreé, was later joined by Texas born vocalist Charles Ray Briscoe for more variety in musical styles. Years on the road broadened the band's musical spectrum and gradually led them to writing and performing their own original music. Finally, in 2003 a selection of original songs was recorded in the band's own demo studio and released on this CD entitled 'Famous first songs' (not to be taken too seriously...). The six songs of this album cover a wide range of styles which we do not try to describe here but leave for the listener to explore. Enjoy this interesting, funny and highly musical debut album by Private Dancer. Musicians on this album: Irina Andreé (lead vocals) Charles R. Briscoe (lead vocals) Juergen 'Blacky' Schwarz (guitars, vocals) Rolf Weiler (bass guitars, vocals) Thomas Langsch (drums) Peter Lux (keyboards, vocals) Frank Dupont (saxophones, vocals) Tobias Melcher (trombone) Stefan 'Chuck' Krapf (trumpet) Arthur Joest (percussion) Note: Sound clip #1 is not representative for the song as it starts with the album intro!
