Bring It on
Hello, I'm Randy Blossom and I'm a recording artist from the San Francisco bay area. I have been recording my brand of "retro rock", (music sounding like it's from the 70's or 80's with a modern edge) in my home studio. My CD Randy Blossom Bring it on is an excellent example of this. As with most solo artist I don't have permanent band members but what I do have is excellent musicians performing with me throughout Bring it on. I play all the electric, acoustic, and bass guitars on the CD. Mike Hartwig from the Concord based band Liquid sings 3 of the tracks titled, I love your jam, Don't take my Freedom, and When were together. Al Silveira also lends his vocal talents for a remake of The Blue from my first CD, Randy Blossom Standing in the middle of your mind. There is also excellent drumming on Bring it on performed mostly by Austrian born drummer Chris Williams. Hard hitting Jake Wood came in for the double bass part on the title track Bring it on and also plays on Dancin' on the outskirts. Mick Berry, co-author of the drummer's bible plays drums on Gypsy Queen and congas on The Blue. Finally local drummer Russ Hawkins contributed drum parts to Lost Sunrise. Everyone performed excellently and was a pleasure to work with. Even after the recording was done it was time for mixing and mastering. I mixed most of the songs myself but was still left feeling some of the songs could sound better. I went to Doug Chancellor at the Soundfarm studios and together we remixed several of the songs. Doug did the final finishing touches of the mastering process. With this presentation to you of my CD Bring it on, I welcome you to the music of the underground. Let's ROCK the music world together! Randy.
