World O' Wire
Ranger Spacey are a Sydney trio whose style has been dubbed 'Indie-Alt.Country Rock 'n' Roll for the Soul'. Forming in 2007, Vocalist, Songwriter and Guitarist Jimi Linton teamed up with Bass Player and High School friend Karl Napper, as well as freakishly talented Drummer Paul 'Bev' Bevis. They sought to make music that would combine Rock, Folk and Punk, the genres that Spacey had loved as youngsters, and Country (the music Jimi's grandfather Smillin' Billy Blinkhorn made a living and gained fame for in Canada), which Jimi grew up listening to. A year and several months later, after many great shows in the pubs and clubs of Sydney, Ranger Spacey collaborated with psych-classical- shred fiddle player Anthea Mulder for live shows and the recording of their debut E.P., Engineered by friend of the band Adam Cameron in Jimi and Karl's Sydney home, and mastered by Rick O'Neil at Turtlerock studios. 'World O Wire' includes five of Ranger Spacey's best that can both warm the heart or break it. Ranger Spacey are now known for their live shows, delivering their Indie-Country Rock sound with a passion, enthusiasm and severity that can silence or incite an audience with just a well timed hook or a sharp turn of phrase and it is in precisely this fashion that Ranger Spacey Launched 'World O' Wire' on the 26th March 2009 to a full house at Sydney's Annandale Hotel.
