Anyway You Bless Me
MUSICAL BIOGRAPHY OF RAYMOND BOYCE Raymond Boyce is a native of Covington, Tennessee, a small town outside of Memphis. At an early age, he was overcome with severe asthma. He could barely breathe and was unable to play like other children. He often required the support of an oxygen tent. Throughout this ordeal, he heard his mother and father praying for him. His parents laid on the altar and the saints of his hometown church, Covington Church of God in Christ, prayed for his healing. While still unable to carry much breath, he asked his mother for a saxophone. He had heard the melodic strings of B.B. King and wanted to play an instrument. His asthma became so bad that he, himself, began to pray to God for his healing. He felt so strongly that he told God that he would play his saxophone for the glory of God. Raymond was healed. Raymond became one of the first persons to play a horn in the pulpit of a church. He and his musically talented brothers and sister were often at the National Church of God in Christ Convocations and surrounding churches. Raymond played his saxophone nationally with many well known artists even before he graduated from high school. Upon moving to Atlanta, Raymond Boyce played in a variety of musical venues, playing Jazz, R&B, and Gospel. He has performed in many cities around the United States of America. While initially playing with a group and/or his brothers, Raymond decided to play his saxophone solo. He has been a Minister of Music and Choir Director. In addition, Raymond has been the featured artist in many churches, theater performances, community events, as well as a gospel recording for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Raymond has written and produced several songs which were used on a documentary. He has also played with many renowned gospel performers. God continued to beckon to Raymond. As his trials and testimonies became stronger, he realized that he had been called to complete a work in Christ. Raymond's daily mission is to minister in song on his saxophone. He is expanding and bringing others to help spread the good news of Christ through gospel music. He is in the process of establishing his own record company because of his desire to carry the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ all over the world through beautiful and uplifting melodies and words of inspiration. His ultimate goal is to sign other artists to his record company to further enhance his mission.
