Product Notes

An acoustic guitar duo from the US, led by Todd R. Janko and whose influences vary from Hendrix to AC/DC to Eddie Van Halen, give us an exceptionally relaxed performance on their self-titled album. There's sort of a running story this album runs through, which is detailed in the CD insert. There's a number of interesting songs here with 'Cobain' a song you'll no doubt know the subject of, plus 'Sobriety' and the opener 'Last Flight Home'. The most interesting tracks here are those you simply want to sit and listen to, especially the closing number 'Wisful Thinking' and 'The Void' which has (as the title would suggest) a very spacious feeling. The guitar playing is quite excellent and certainly gives the indication that the pair are playing to us, not at us. A greatly interesting collection of music. (Austrlia Review) There's only a handful of purely instrumental ensembles in Vegas, and most of them are really talented, well worth a night in a smoke clogged bar. The Reunion differs from Native Tonge and the Wayouts in several important respects, they're just a duo, they only play acoustic, and they don't play smoke-clogged bars. Despite these discrepancies, they are amazingly good. Like other stylists in this genre-Strunz and Farah come to mind-Todd Janko and Thomas Cacho know how to wring symphonies from six strings. There is such a poetic quality to 'The Matador is Dead' and 'Sobriety' that it's hard to believe these beautiful melodies were crafted in this dumb and violent era. Be sure to see these two fine musicians perform at the earliest opportunity, if no other reason than procure a copy of this gorgeous record yourself. (Crystal Dynamic-Scope Magazine, Las Vegas) The Reunion will take you to new levels. Free the mind and see for yourself!
