Cymbeline is the first album release by independent singer-songwriter & recording artist, Richard Salem. The album title is derived from a Shakespeare play set in the city Salem was born (Colchester, England). His voice is sincere, natural and emotive. He writes records and produces everything himself, 'for the sake of learning and growing,' sometimes in conjunction with session instrumentalists. Richard is more of a songwriting poet than a pop lyricist. He demonstrates attention to illiteration, metaphor, analogy and compositional balance. His songs are simple on the surface and yet complex, spiritual and deep when looked into and listed to repeatedly over time. As an independent artist, Salem maintains integrity and a basic humility. The acclaim he has received is sincere and authentic-not the fruit of paid promotion or savy marketing schemes. He's performing solo-voice & acoustic guitar- in and around Sedona, Arizona. Richard helps other artists record and produce their music; He is an avid writer, bibliophile, graphic designer and lover of animals and natural beauty. For more information visit: salemstudios.com.
