God of Mercy
On April 14, 2007, Rick's son, Sgt. Brandon Lee Wallace, was killed in Fallujah, Iraq when a road side bomb detonated near his humvee. While they were searching for a way to bring comfort and healing to those who knew Brandon, loved him, and missed him so much, on October 3, 2007, divine inspiration struck. In that moment of inspiration the song 'No Tears' came to be. It started with a couple of phrases penned on an envelope and quickly escalated into melody and lyrics. The Wallaces recorded the song never expecting the overwhelming response, media coverage and subsequent demand for the song. The Wallaces received almost 2,000 requests for the 'No Tears' CD in just two days after it's local release. At the request from the founder of A Soldier's Wish List and the help of VSG CD Duplication, CRW Printing and Rick Lamborn of Joyce Meyer Ministries, the Wallaces were blessed to send 8,000 'No Tears' CDs in care packages to the troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq. After receiving international press coverage the Wallaces received requests for their CD from people in Hong Kong, Belize, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Israel, Iraq and all over the United States... requests with very personal heart-felt stories of how people could relate to the songs, testimonies of how the words to 'No Tears' brought comfort..closure..even confirmation that loved ones were OK and assurance that Heaven is real. On November 14th, 2007 the Wallaces reached the 64th spot on Google's Top 100 "Hot Trends' search. On November 27th the couple reached the 51st spot on Google's "Today's Hot Trends" list. January 2008 found the song 'No Tears' listed on Christian Radio Weekly's Top 10 List of independent artists. CRW also included 'No Tears' on their first 2008 compilation S-Disc. One of the Wallaces' most memorable moments came in February of 2008. They were honored to receive a letter from President George W. Bush recognizing their accomplishments with the 'No Tears' CD. The Wallaces are now focused on the release of their latest CD titled "God of Mercy". This is the music, they say, that defines their heart and soul. The songs included on the 'God of Mercy' CD will move the heart of the worshipper, edify the soul of the listener and bring the believer to a deeper relationship with our God. Rick and Lisa's prayer is that many who don't know Him will be led to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through their music, and that the realization of Heaven and eternal life is conveyed through the lyrics. A special thanks to veteran Nashville sound engineer David Shipley for his mastering of "God of Mercy" and to KMS Media for the CD graphics and design.
