Right on Red burst onto the Ann Arbor music scene in the fall of 2003. Beginning as a group of friends dedicated to entertaining overworked coeds, a unique sound and style began to emerge. This style was based on their diverse musical backgrounds - ranging from jazz and classical to hip hop and hard rock - and helped them to transition from overcrowded dorm lounges to packed rooms across the Midwest. Often compared by fans and critics to John Mayer, Guster and DMB, Right on Red is carving out a place in the music world with it's catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Fans begged... fans pleaded... and in late 2005 Right on Red released their debut album 'Tom's Advice.' It appeals to all types of listeners, transcends many musical genres and captures the musicality and creativity of the members perfectly. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that the album was recorded by the members in their home studio over the course of a 13 day bender. And by 13 day bender they mean 6 month labor of love.
